Peoria Art Guild Art Fair Submissions

The Peoria Art Guild is now accepting artist applications for the 5th Annual Art Fair at Junction City to be held on June 5 & 6, 2010. The deadline for applications is March 15th.

Fine art and fine craft artists living within a 150-mile radius of Peoria are encouraged to apply to the juried art fair.  An online artist application form is provided at juriedartservices.com.

Jurors will select sixty-five regional artists to exhibit their works.  Twenty-five percent of the artists selected will live within a fifty-mile radius of Peoria, making the fair truly both a local and regional event.  Cash prizes of $15,000 will be awarded during the fair, including a Best of Show award of $5,000.

Last year, over 10,000 people attended the event to view original works by Central Illinois' talented fine artists and enjoy the unique, outdoor boutique setting of Junction City Shopping Center.

The deadline for all applications is March 15th.

For more information please visit peoriaartguild.org, call 671-1093, or email artfair@peoriaartguild.org. Find them on Facebook for updates and information.

Where: The LaFayette Park District (old school). One block south of Rt. 17 in Lafayette, IL

Addison Nowlan turned 1 on 12.02.09. Before she was even born, she was diagnosed with several heart defects. Her condition is very rare and the defects include, dextrocardia, L-transposition of the great arteries, pulmonary atresia, and a ventricular septal defect. In her 1 short year of life, Addi has undergone 5 open heart surgeries, all of which have been temporary fixes. These surgeries include reconstruction of the left pulmonary artery and numerous BT shunt surgeries. Doctors hope to do a more permanent corrective surgery in the future, but need time to research her special case and let her grow. In fact, Addi's surgeon has never performed the compniation of procedures necessary to fix her heart simultaneously. Even after teh correction, she will continue to have surgeries every 3-5 years to replace the conduit in her heart. Sara, Addison's mother, is a teacher at Stark County Elementary. Her Father, Jacob, is a self-employed driver. Addison has a sister Emma who is 9 years old.  Addison is a very strong, special child, who has touched many people's lives. She is the greatest example of hope, strength and courage.

The Nowlan Family needs our grace and community support! Please join us for this benefit to raise money to pay for Addi's medical needs! Tickets: $5.00
